danica-patrickOver the weekend, IndyCar driver Danica Patrick tweeted about her trip to New York City for a big announcement and an appearance on Good Morning America. GoDaddy.com was also advertising the announcement.

While many were wondering if this would be the long-awaited decision that Patrick would try her hand at NASCAR, it seems they will have to wait even longer.

After making a generous donation to a winter coat drive, Patrick unveiled her new, GoDaddy.com green and black IndyCar.

The website for Patrick’s car owner in the IndyCar Series, Andretti Autosport, mentioned the announcement on GMA and elaborated that both Patrick and GoDaddy.com have signed multi-year agreements with the newly restructured team.

"All of us at Andretti Autosport are looking forward to having Danica back with the team and are excited about working with Bob Parsons and everyone at Go Daddy as the primary sponsor on Danica's car,” Michael Andretti, Chairman, President and CEO of Andretti Autosport, said. “Go Daddy brings a lot of energy to our team and to the IZOD IndyCar Series. We're very excited about the opportunity to work with them in 2010 and beyond."

The CEO and Founder of GoDaddy.com, Bob Parsons, as well as Patrick herself were also quoted in the Andretti Autosport announcement.

"Danica is the quintessential Go Daddy Girl,” Parsons said. “Danica is a beautiful woman competing in a male-dominated sport. She’s passionate. She's focused. She's all about doing what it takes to win and we love that about her. Not to mention she's edgy, smokin' hot and as tough as any competitor anywhere. We are very good together."

"I'm happy to be able to announce that I'm returning to Andretti Autosport,” Patrick said of her 2010 plans. “Michael Andretti has helped me become a better driver and we hope to accomplish a great deal during the next few years together. Bob Parsons and Go Daddy have believed in me from the start. You know, my life long goal is to win the Indy 500 and I'd love to do that in the GoDaddy.com car."

Questions still remain about a possible NASCAR transition. GoDaddy.com has a history with NASCAR Nationwide Series team JR Motorsports, which has been rumored to be in discussions with Patrick about a move to stock cars. It is still possible that such an agreement will be arranged before the 2010 season starts and rumors have recently surfaced that Patrick is entered into the first ARCA RE/MAX race of the 2010 season at Daytona.
