Renowned country music duo Brooks & Dunn will open the NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Show in Las Vegas with their No. 1 hit “Only in America” along with video footage honoring NASCAR fans. The segment, titled “The Spirit of the Fans”, will be narrated by long-time commentator Ken Squier.

The two-some, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, announced in August that 2010 will be their last year to perform together. Their final album, titled “#1s…and then some” has already been released and their farewell tour, “The Last Rodeo”, will kick off sometime after the first of the year.

Brooks & Dunn have had ties with NASCAR for years, especially through a close friendship with 7-time champion Dale Earnhardt who appeared in their music video for “Honky Tonk Truth”.

Other entertainers scheduled to appear during the Awards Show include: comedian/impressionist Frank Caliendo, who will be hosting the event, singer/songwriter David Gray, Escala, the female electric string-quartet who appeared on the “Britain’s Got Talent” television show last year, and comedian John Pinette will return for the second time.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Show will broadcast live on SPEED at 9pm ET tomorrow, December 4th.
