International Speedway Corporation (ISC) announced this morning that Matthew Becherer is the new President of Homestead-Miami Speedway effective immediately.
The previous President, Curtis Gray, is leaving the track to pursue other opportunities.
Prior to this new appointment, Becherer was the Vice President of Marketing for Richmond International Raceway and oversaw marketing, advertising, public relations, ticketing and more. He will be settling into the Homestead-Miami, FL area with his family within a couple of weeks. "We remain fortunate to have individuals of such excellent caliber to transition into key positions within our organization," ISC Vice President of Business Operations Joie Chitwood III, said. "Matt has been a significant contributor to the success of Richmond International Raceway for over six years, and we believe his leadership will facilitate a smooth transition into his new role at Homestead-Miami Speedway. We congratulate him on his new position and look forward to his continued success." Prior to his position at Richmond, Becherer had served as the director of marketing for Darlington Raceway and marketing manager for North Carolina Speedway.
