Daytona Speedweeks Art Unveiled

daytona-international-speedwayInternationally known artist and 22-year member of the Automotive Fine Arts Society, Jay Koka completed the program artwork for the 2010 Daytona Speedweeks and Daytona 500. Koka’s artwork features Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick racing around the 2.5 mile superspeedway.

 

The Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig unveiled the design.

 

"With this vibrant artwork, Jay Koka has captured the essence of the Daytona 500 - NASCAR's signature event," Braig said. "Year in and year out, 'The Great American Race' produces thrilling finishes, tight competition and high-stakes drama with the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. In addition to purchasing their Daytona 500 tickets, race fans are going to want to make sure to get a copy of the event program featuring this artwork."

 

The 2010 Daytona Speedweeks will kick-off February 6, 2010 with a tripleheader that features the Daytona 500 Qualifying, followed by the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200, and ending with the Budweiser Shootout.
