NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Robby Gordon and the rest of Team HUMMER have arrived in South America for the 2010 Dakar Rally.
With game faces on, Gordon held a team meeting in the airport to go over procedures for the next 48 hours. Setting the tone for the final preparations for the grueling nearly 6,000-mile event. “All of our stuff has arrived on time,” said Robby Gordon. “We are going to have a long night tonight though. The Vanguard and Monster Energy / Toyo Tires HUMMERs are pretty much set, but there are still a few things to tune up on the Chile HUMMER to get it ready for technical inspection in about a day and a half from now.”
All of the race vehicles and support vehicles made it to Buenos Aires, Argentina before the team arrived. The precision and determination of Team HUMMER proves they are ready to get a win in this year’s Rally which will begin on January 2nd.
