The NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway begins today in Concord, NC.
Over the course of four days, roughly 200 members of the media will get the opportunity to interview NASCAR drivers, crew chiefs and team owners. While most of the events will take place at the base hotel, the Embassy Suites in Concord, events including a visit to the under construction NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s bar Whisky River and zMax Dragway, will give media members the opportunity to see some facilities first hand.
On Monday, events include sessions with Stewart-Haas Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, Penske Racing, ESPN and TRG Motorsports. Tuesday’s events include time with Richard Childress Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports, Wood Brothers Racing, Front Row Motorsports, Roush Fenway Racing and the visits to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Whisky River. Charlotte Motor Speedway and the NASCAR Nationwide Series will make announcements on Wednesday and media personnel will meet with Hendrick Motorsports, Michael Waltrip Racing and the NASCAR on SPEED crew.
Thursday, the final day of the Tour, events include a breakfast with the stars of Inside NASCAR, an interview opportunity with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing and trips to zMAX Dragway and NASCAR. This year’s NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway is a different style from years past when members of the media would actually tour the race shops but it will be no less informative. HardcoreRaceFans.com will post updates from the Tour each day. MORE NASCAR NEWS
