CMS To Overhaul Front Stretch Seats
Monday, 18 January 2010 17:41

charlotte-motor-speedwayAfter receiving numerous e-mails from race fans, the President and General Manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway, Marcus Smith, has announced that approximately 15,000 seats on the front stretch of the race track will be replaced with new, bigger, more comfortable seats.

“Right after our races in May and October I heard fans saying ‘you know what, I loved it, I had a great time. One thing I’d like that we’d like to see, we’d like to know, is when are you going to make some improvements to the seats on the front stretch’,” Smith said. “Today, we are announcing we are making some fantastic upgrades.”

The seats, mainly in the GM and Chrysler grandstands, will be improved before this May’s All-Star Race.

Plus, to give hardcore race fans the opportunity to purchase a piece of CMS history, the track is offering special incentives to fans that purchase season tickets this year. For every season ticket seat purchased, the fan will receive an old seat as a memento. Also, they will be able to put their names on the new seat and be enrolled in the Victory Lane Club for free.

Always working to be the most fan-friendly venue in NASCAR, the Mecca of Motorsports has heard the cries from hardcore race fans and is making improvements to the track based on those requests.
