You’ve seen him on the track. You’ve seen him being interviewed. But now, hardcore race fans will be able to see inside the personal life of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson.

Tonight the first episode of HBO 24/7 Jimmie Johnson: Race to Daytona will air at 10pm ET. This episode is the first of four; the final episode will air two days after the Daytona 500.

The show will step out of the boxing realm for the first time and showcase Johnson, the four-time champion and his preparations for the Great American Race on February 14th.

In addition to the behind-the-scenes look at Hendrick Motorsports as the team readies the cars for battle, viewers get an up-close-and-personal look into the lives of Johnson and his crew chief Chad Knaus.

From getting out of bed in the morning and through their days, the show films nearly every aspect of their lives including Johnson’s wife Chandra’s challenges in the early stage of her pregnancy with their first child.

Nothing has been restricted which will give viewers the chance of a lifetime to see the personal side of the always composed and unflappable champion.
