dale-earnhardt-jrSpeedweeks in Daytona traditionally marks the beginning of a new race season and kicks off another year of hardcore race fans being able to cast votes for their favorite NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver.

Attention hardcore race fans, voting is now open for the 2010 NMPA Hamburger Helper Most Popular Driver Award. As has been the case for the past several years, there will be a 10-week playoff at seasons end with the top 10 vote-getters competing for the award.

Voting for the full 41 driver field will conclude on September 11, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. CT, after the Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway. The top 10 drivers, as selected by hardcore race fans, will be announced and the vote count will be reset at zero at that time.

Hardcore race fans will then have 10 weeks, until November 22, 2010 at 11:59 p. m. CT, to cast their votes and determine the winner of the 2010 NASCAR NMPA Hamburger Helper Most Popular Driver Award. Hardcore race fans can vote once per day. The winner will be announced at the NASCAR NMPA Myers Brothers Luncheon in December.
