At the end of last year, Richard Childress Racing was not exactly on top of the NASCAR leaderboards. However, they worked incredibly hard over the off season and it is already paying off.
RCR teammates Jeff Burton and Kevin Harvick ended the final practice session for tomorrow’s Daytona 500 in 1st and 2nd place, respectively.
Burton’s fast lap of 46.108 seconds at 195.194mph beat Harvick by just over one tenth of a second. Marcos Ambrose finished the practice in 3rd, followed by David Reutimann and Matt Kenseth. Kyle Busch and Sam Hornish Jr. ended up 6th and 7th, respectively while Regan Smith, Juan Pablo Montoya and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top-10. The 52nd Annual Daytona 500 is scheduled to broadcast on FOX beginning at 1pm ET tomorrow. MORE NASCAR NEWS
