Hardcore race fans have responded to the earlier start time, this afternoon at 1 p.m. ET, and the new NASCAR rules by purchasing all available grandstand tickets for today's Daytona 500. Infield tickets are still on sale at the speedway ticket office.
"There's nothing like experiencing the excitement and pageantry of the Daytona 500 in person and we're proud to host another full house for this year's 'Great American Race,' " Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig said. "Through our unique ticket packages, a new start time and NASCAR's new rules, our loyal and passionate fans have responded. We appreciate their support and look forward to another memorable Daytona 500 on Sunday."
Millions of hardcore race fans will be tuned to FOX Sports and MRN Radio for live coverage of the biggest spectacle in NASCAR racing. Country music star Tim McGraw will perform the pre-race show. Television coverage on FOX will begin at noon ET. MORE NASCAR NEWS
