Montoya’s pit-crew spent the least amount of time over the wall contributing a top-10 finish in the season opener at Daytona earning them the first Tissot Pit Road Precision Award of 2010.
“What a great way to start the season – the Team Target pit crew worked extremely hard this off-season and to have it pay off at the Daytona 500 is incredibly rewarding,” remarked Chip Goode, pit crew coach and rear tire carrier. “To win the Tissot award and post a top 10 in the season-opener is a huge momentum builder for this team, not to mention the fact our teammates (Jamie McMurray’s No. 1 team) were celebrating in Victory Lane.” The No. 42 over-the-wall team Trevor Lysne, Eric Bilyeu, Chris McMullen, Chip Goode, TJ Ford, Mike Bodick, and Heath Silver all earned a Tissot VA Quartz Chronograph watch in Sunday’s outstanding effort. The team who wins the award at the end of each race of the 2010 schedule receives $5,000 plus each member of the over-the-wall crew will receive a Tissot VA Quartz Chronograph watch. At the end of the 2010 schedule the team with the most Tissot Pit Road Precision Awards will receive $105,000 bonus and Tissot watches for over-the-wall crew members and driver. MORE NASCAR NEWS
