Hardcore race fans have a cordial invitation to join Daytona 500 champion Jamie McMurray on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall tomorrow, Thursday, February 18 for "Auto Club Speedway Day in L.A."

McMurray will be available for a fan question and answer session at Los Angeles City Hall, located at 200 N. Spring St. in Los Angeles, prior to reeceiving a proclamation from city leaders declaring Thursday, February 18 "Auto Club Speedway Day L.A." throughout the city of Los Angeles. Mcmurray will be joined by Gillian Zucker, president of Auto Club Speedway, for the ceremony.

Immediately following the proclamation ceremony, McMurray will climb aboard a double-decker bus for a tour of Los Angeles with a group of Auto Club Speedway season ticket holders. McMurray will participate in a conversation with LA Lakers NBA champion Mychal Thompson on ESPN radio at LA Live, the first scheduled stop on the tour.

McMurray will then travel to East LA for lunch at King Taco and will chat with fans and media at the popular eatery at 1:00 p.m. PT. The tour will make some surprise stops before returning to the LA City Hall.

Hardcore race fans are encouraged to join the celebration at any of the stops on the tour.
