Andy Garcia, who stars in the upcoming comedy film City Island, has been named Grand Marshal for the Auto Club 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race this Sunday, February 21. Garcia will deliver the most famous words in racing when he commands the 43-car starting field, "Gentlemen, Start Your Engines."
"I am honored to be asked to be the Grand Marshal," said Garcia. "I am anticipating what will prove to be an exhilarating day."
Garcia, who is an actor, producer, director and composer/musician, received Emmy, Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for his work in Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen. Garcia stars in "City Island" with Julianna Margulies, Steven Strait, Dominik García-Lorido, Ezra Miller, Alan Arkin and Emily Mortimer.
