The world famous Blue Angels will thrill hardcore race fans as they perform the flyover just prior to the start of today's Auto Club 500 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. This will mark the first time the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron has performed a flyover at the speedway.
Currently based at the Naval Air Facility in El Centro, California for winter training, the Blue Angels flyover will include six blue and gold Boeing F/A-18 Hornets in the Delta formation at speeds of up to 400 mph.
2010 will be a busy year for the Blue Angels as they are scheduled to appear in 68 air shows at 35 sites within the United States while celebrating 24 years of flying the F/A-18 Hornet. MORE NASCAR NEWS
