Jeff-GordonJeff Gordon will be running a special DuPont/Pepsi Max paint scheme on the #24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in the Shelby American 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Sunday, February 28.

Gordon, coming off a 26th place finish in the Daytona 500 and a 20th in last weeks race at the Auto Club Speedway, is looking for better luck as the circuit heads to Las Vegas.

“We’ve had fast, competitive cars in the first two events – we just don’t have good finishes to show for it,” said Gordon. “But good finishes will come if we keep running near the front.”

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a favorite stop for Gordon each season. The four-time NASCAR champion has recorded one win, five top-fives and six top-10's in the 12 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts he has made at the track in Nevada.

“I’ve always loved coming here because it’s such a cool event in such a great city,” commented Gordon. “And it also seems to be one of the more popular events for the fans. We’ve had some strong runs here recently including last year when I had fun battling for the lead with Jimmie (Johnson).”
