matt-kensethValvoline will sponsor Matt Kenseth’s No. 17 Ford Fusion in this weekends NASCAR Sprint Cup event at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and two other events at Talladega in April and Phoenix later this season.

Valvoline has 44 victories parred with Roush Fenway Racing, most coming from NASCAR veteran Mark Martin’s famous No. 6 Valvoline machine.  Valvoline made the announcement on March 2, 2010 to be the primary sponsor for Matt Kenseth in three races of the 2010 season.

“This weekend is going to be great for our No. 17 team to showcase the partnership Roush Fenway Racing has with Valvoline,” commented Kenseth.  “We use Valvoline products in our race cars every weekend and our engine shop relies on the performance advantage their motor oil gives us in order to get the most we can out of our engines.  It’s pretty cool that we get to run the No. 17 Valvoline Ford Fusion at Atlanta this weekend.”

Roush Fenway introduces the new scheme this Sunday March 7, 2010 in the Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.  Fox will broadcast the event with  coverage beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST.
