Hardcore race fans planning to attend the Food City 500 in Bristol next weekend are in for a lot of fun with several NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series drivers who have agreed to participate in Food City Race Night on Friday evening, March 19, 2010. A question and answer session, Wii Boxing and Family Feud will take place in the hospitality area of the Bristol Motor Speedway.
Food City Race Night opens at 4 pm next Friday with the festivities beginning immediately following the completion of on track activities for Ford Fan Friday at the Worlds Fastest Half-Mile. Admission to the Food City Race Night is free for all hardcore race fans.
NASCAR champions Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth along with 2010 Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray and Roush Fenway Racing driver David Ragan are scheduled to take part in the question and answer session. Elliott Sadler, defending Wii Boxing champion, will be going all out for the title with Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, A.J. Allmendinger and Scott Speed doing their best to take the crown.
A fun rendition of the popular television show Family Feud will highlight the evening program with RCR drivers going up against the drivers from Stewart-Haas Racing. Kevin Harvick and Jeff Burton, with Delana Harvick, will take on Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Krissie Newman. Two hardcore race fans will be chosen to participate on each team, through an online auction benefitting the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. Fox's Matt Yocum will emcee the event. An autograph session is also planned with NASCAR legends David Pearson, Harry Gant and Dave Marcis, along with Harvick and several Nationwide drivers including Steve Wallace, Trevor Bayne, Reed Sorenson, Justin Allgaier, Kelly Bires, Colin Braun and Eric McClure.
