Two Day Spoiler Test Begins At Charlotte
Tuesday, 23 March 2010 08:54

charlotte-motor-speedwayNASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams are taking to the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway to test the new spoiler Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

The test will be a critical one as the rear-wing is phased out this weekend at Martinsville Speedway and the new blade spoiler will be implemented. This test will determine how the spoiler will affect the cars at an intermediate track.

However, some drivers remain skeptical that the test sessions will not give them enough information. They think the true test will come once the green flag flies.

The tests will run Tuesday from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. ET and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. with a one hour break from noon until 1 p.m. each day.

Hardcore race fans can attend the test session free of charge and ticket-holders for any of the Sprint Cup Series events at Charlotte this year will be allowed to watch the test from the infield.
