NASCAR Hall Of Fame 50 Day Countdown

nascar-hall-of-fameMonday March 22 marked the start of the 50-day countdown until the grand opening of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC.

 

Hardcore race fans will be able to participate in the festivities by participating in daily trivia contests via the NASCAR Hall's Twitter page @NASCARHall. Every morning a trivia question will be posted and the first fan to reply with the correct answer will receive a NASCAR Hall of Fame prize pack.

 

“This has been one of the most anticipated openings of an entertainment attraction not just for Charlotte and the Carolinas, but nationwide,” Winston Kelley, the Executive Director for the Hall said. “We are in the final stretch, and we want to get as many people involved as possible. We are looking forward to revealing features of the venue each day on our Web site and through social media. This allows everyone nationwide to share in our excitement as we prepare for the grand opening.”

 

Also, one feature of the attraction will be revealed each day.darrell-waltrip

 

The first feature, unveiled yesterday, was Darrell Waltrip's championship-winning No. 11 Mountain Dew Buick which earned him the 1981 and 1982 titles.

 

The Hall of Fame will open to the public on May 11 at 10 a.m. ET. while the opening ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. Activities at the facility will extend through the late evening that day and will include NASCAR celebrities, food vendors, a concert by country music trio Love and Theft and much more.
