A steady rain at the Martinsville Speedway washed out today's qualifying sessions for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Camping World Truck Series with the fields for Saturday's Kroger 250 and Sunday's Goody's 500 lining up according to current owner points.
Kevin Harvick will start from the pole in both NASCAR events at Martinsville this weekend. Matt Kenseth will start along side of Harvick for Sunday's Sprint Cup race while Aric Almirola starts Saturday's Truck Series race from the outside pole.
"You and I are in about the same qualifying category," Harvick joked with Kenseth. "Could be the worst qualifying front row you've ever seen." Jimmie Johnson, who has won five of the last seven Cup races at Martinsville, starts third on Sunday's grid with Greg Biffle and Tony Stewart taking the green from the fourth and fifth starting positions. Casey Mears, Johnny Sauter and Terry Cook did not make Sunday's race. KROGER 250 RACE LINEUP-QUALIFYING RAINED OUT MORE NASCAR NEWS
