Andretti, Petty Teaming Again For Indy 500

john-andrettiAndretti Autosport has announced John Andretti will team up with NASCAR legend Richerd Petty once again for the Indianapolis 500 with Window World backing the efforts. The #43 Team Window World entry will also feature the famous Petty Blue and Day-Glo Red color scheme again this year.

 

"I'm excited to be a part of this venture with John, Andretti Autosport, and Window World for the Indy 500," said Richard Petty. "There is so much history around this event and the Andretti's have such a rich tradition in racing. I'm looking forward to watching John hit the track in May."

 

Andretti Autosport has a five car lineup for the 2010 Indianapolis 500 with the announcement. Michael Andretti, John's cousin, is the CEO of Andretti Autosport.

 

"I'm really excited to be able to be a part of this," said Michael Andretti. "Richard Petty is one of the true legends in our sport and someone I have always admired. Window World deserves a lot of credit for bringing all of this together. I have a lot of respect for John's talent - I always have. I really think he will fit in very well at Andretti Autosport and can be a factor during the month of May."

 

The #43 car will also carry the message of Window World Cares, the charitable foundation of Window World, Inc., which supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "Opening Windows for St. Jude Kids" is a program launched by the Window World Foundation through which they would like to raise $1.5 million, the daily cost to operate St. Jude Hospital.

 

John Andretti will make his llth career start in the 2010 Indianapolis 500.
