Darlington Raceway President Chris Browning has announced that hardcore race fans planning to attend the SHOWTIME Southern 500 on May 8, 2010 can now purchase tickets on weekends as the speedway ticket office will be open each Saturday and Sunday until race time.

"In order to make it more convenient for our fans to purchase their tickets, we decided to open up our ticket office on the weekends," said Browning. "We realize how busy everyone can be during the week, and we wanted to make ticket purchases easier for our fans."

Starting April 10, the Darlington Raceway ticket office will be open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. ET on Saturdays and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. ET on Sundays in addition to regular operating hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
