Kasey KahneKasey Kahne has signed a multi-year agreement with Hendrick Motorsports to drive the No. 5 in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition beginning with the 2012 season. Mark Martin will remain in the No. 5 Chevrolet through 2011.

Kahne's plans for 2011 have not been announced.

"I've actually thought a lot about that but I'm not sure what I'm going to do next year," Kahne told members of the media on Tuesday. "I've given it some thought though."

Speculation is high that Kahne will be in a Stewart-Haas Chevrolet in 2011. Hendrick Motorsports supplies engines and other resources to Stewart-Haas and while nothing is confirmed, many believe that it is a likely scenario. 2010 marks the final year of Kahne's contract with Richard Petty Motorsports.

"Kasey is a very talented driver and I have enjoyed watching him race. We all wish him nothing but the best and hope he succeeds in anything he chooses to do," Richard Petty said in a statement.

Budweiser has not finalized their plans for 2011, according to company officials.
