Tony Stewart will make his 400th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start from the pole on Sunday after making a lap around the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speeedway at 191.327 mph in qualifying for Sunday's Samsung Mobile 500. This pole is the first for Stewart in nearly five years.

Sam Hornish, Jr. presented the biggest surprise in this afternoon's qualifying session, taking the outside pole with a speed of 191.232 mph.

Greg Biffle, Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne will start third, fourth and fifth on Sunday.

Terry Cook, Johnny Sauter and David Stremme did not qualify.

The Samsung Mobile 500 will be broadcast on FOX beginning at 3 pm ET Sunday, April 18.
