With five of the past nine Talladega races won with a last-lap pass, this week’s NASCAR stop will not be for the timid. Predictions are drivers will enjoy super fast speeds, similar to past few races.

Expect three and in some cases four wide racing, where every lap will be an adventure. This is the first track this year where NASCAR’s new policy on bump drafting will be put to the test, as some drivers say the smooth surface makes it possible anywhere on the circuit. The restrictor plate will guarantee a tight fit for the field. While Talladega is know for having some big crashes, three races have been caution-free. Will this be one of them? Some perspective in this week’s race preview from Paul Menard, Kurt Bush, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Greg Biffle.
