Due to feedback from Hardcore Race Fans, Darlington Raceway has made some improvements to the historic NASCAR facility in order to make the experience at this year’s SHOWTIME Southern 500 weekend more enjoyable.
The improvements made feature an illuminated flag stand displaying the track’s sponsors, upgraded restrooms for the folks sitting in the Pearson grandstand in turn four, new parking lot signage at Gate 40 featuring indigenous South Carolinians, Cale Yarborough and David Pearson. Last but not least the family section seating has been expanded to incorporate sections on the frontstretch and backstretch. “All of these upgrades have been put into place because of feedback we have received from our fans,” said Darlington Raceway President, Chris Browning. “Each year we receive feedback from our fans after our event weekend and we consider those when making facility improvements. Each letter is answered and every phone call is returned because what our fans have to say about their experience at our facility is of the utmost importance.” Tickets for both of Darlington’s events this weekend are still available for purchase, and can be obtained by calling 866-459-RACE or by visiting www.DarlingtonRaceway.com.
