Seven-time NASCAR champion Dale Earnhardt will appear on a commemorative Wheaties box as the cereal maker honors his induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The cereal box was unveiled during a press conference Friday morning at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The box features Earnhardt with his race suit and trademark sunglasses along with the No. 3 Chevrolet.

Dale Earnhardt is the first stock car driver to be displayed on the Wheaties box twice, after appearing on a series of Wheaties boxes in 1997.

"Dale Earnhardt signifies everything that makes a champion," said David Clark, vice president for Wheaties. "His record speaks for itself, but it was also his hard work and determination that made him an inspiration to so many. We're honored to feature him again and to help celebrate his latest acknowledgements."

Kerry Earnhardt along with sister Taylor Earnhardt and Richard Childress attended Friday mornings announcement. Clint Bowyer and DEI president Jeff Steiner were also present.

"It's great to see Wheaties pay tribute again to Dale Earnhardt by honoring him with a second commerative box, especially since it takes place at the same time as his induction," said Richard Childress. "Dale was, and always will be, a champions' champion who represents the best that motorsports offers to its millions of fans worldwide."
