Qualifying for Saturday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been cancelled due to rain. The field will start according to owner's points which puts Penske Racing's Kurt Busch in the top spot.
Joey Logano will roll off 2nd followed by Brad Keselowski, Jamie McMurray and Kyle Busch. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start last.
The downpour began during qualifying for the Showdown. Four drivers were left to qualify but NASCAR hopes to finish that qualifying session after the rain passes and the track is dried. Tonight's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race will be delayed as well due to the inclement weather. HardcoreRaceFans.com will provide updates as they become available. *UPDATE - 8:10PM* The rain has stopped at the track and the jet dryers are working to get the track ready to finish Showdown Qualifying before the Trucks can head out for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200. *UPDATE - 9:13PM* NASCAR estimates the Cup cars will be back on the track by 10pm ET tonight.
