richie-evansNASCAR Sprint Cup Series team owner Tommy Baldwin will field a Richie Evans Tribute car in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona on July 3, 2010 with Steve Park slated to be behind the wheel of the No. 36 Chevrolet.

The Richie Evans Tribute car will feature an orange and black paint scheme, the colors that adorned the eight-time NASCAR Modified champion's famous ride.

“Richie Evans is one of the guys we all worked hard to beat and to be around,” said Baldwin. “I always looked up to him."

Park will return to Daytona for the first time since capturing the pole at the 2.5 mile superspeedway in 2003.

“I’m extremely honored to be driving a car that pays homage to one of the greatest race car drivers of all time,” said Park. “Richie is respected by so many drivers and he really made his mark in this sport. This is a really neat way to get the fans involved while paying homage to one of the greats.”
