Red Bull Racing announced Wednesday Reed Sorenson will drive the No. 83 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Toyota beginning with the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway June 27, 2010.
Sorenson replaces Casey Mears, who stepped in at Dover last month when Brian Vickers was diagnosed with blood clots in his legs and around his lungs.
"Our unique situation has afforded us the opportunity to try some different things, and we're continuing to do that with Reed," Jay Frye, vice president and general manager of Red Bull Racing, said in a press release. "We appreciate Casey's work and everything he's done the past five weeks." Mattias Ekstrom will drive the No. 83 this weekend at Infineon. MORE NASCAR NEWS
