Truex, Jr. Leads Sprint Cup Happy Hour

martin-truex-jrMartin Truex, Jr. led Happy Hour practice for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, covering the 2.5-mile track at 175.627 mph in the MWR Toyota.

 

 

Jeff Burton clocked in second quick, followed by Clint Bowyer, Carl Edwards and Mark Martin.

 

Burton was fastest in the first practice session Saturday afternoon, turning in a lap of 175.709 mph with Clint Bowyer second on the speed chart. Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne and Matt Kenseth were third through fifth.

 

Brickyard 400 pole winner Juan Pablo Montoya occupied the top spot on the leader board for both Friday practices. Montoya's fastest lap of the day, 179.756 mph, came in the second session Friday afternoon.

 

The Brickyard 400 will be broadcast Sunday afternoon at 1 pm on ESPN.
