Tony Stewart turned in a lap of 171.393 mph in qualifying Friday afternoon at Pocono Raceway to win the pole for Sunday's Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500, his second of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.
Juan Pablo Montoya will line up on the outside of the front row on Sunday after posting a lap at 171.096 mph in the Earnhardt-Ganassi Chevrolet.
Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon and Ryan Newman completed the top-five. Jimmie Johnson, A.J. Allmendinger, Jeff Burton, Jamie McMurray and Mark Martin start sixth through tenth. David Stremme and Max Papis filed to qualify. MORE NASCAR NEWS
