The NASCAR elites are about to go from one of the smoothest tracks on the circuit to one of the bumpiest as they travel to Pocono. While winning a race may build excitement and enthusiasm, it won’t help in preparing the race car.
Unique this week, the raceway is powering up a new solar energy system making the track the largest solar-power sports facility in the world. The 250 acre panel complex is visible from space, and generates enough power for 1,000 homes.
