The biggest question in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing was answered Tuesday when Red Bull Racing general manager and Kasey Kahne announced Kahne will pilot a Red Bull Toyota for 2011.
Kahne is scheduled to take the seat of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in 2012 making it a one-year deal at Red Bull. “We were fortunate to have the opportunity to hire a very talented driver for the 2011 season and we took it,” said Red Bull Racing general managerJay Frye.
Tuesday's announcement brings more questions about the arrangement at Red Bull Racing next season. Red Bull is currently a two-car team, will a third team be added? Will driver Brian Vickers return to Red Bull after being out since May with blood clots? Will Kahne's crew chief Kenny Francis move to Red Bull with Kahne? While Red Bull Racing officials made on comment on these and other questions on Tuesday, they did say they are working on everything and will release details as they develop. MORE NASCAR NEWS
