Kasey Kahne starts from the pole for Sunday's Carfax 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway, clocking a lap in Friday's qualifying session at 187.183 mph to edge Jimmie Johnson for the inside front row position. Johnson turned a lap of 187.086 mph and will start alongside Kahne on Sunday.
Clint Bowyer qualified third, followed by Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya. Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex, Jr. and Paul Menard complete the top-ten.
Kahne has had a busy week with the announcement he will drive a Red Bull Toyota for the 2011 season before moving to the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in 2012. MORE NASCAR NEWS
