Kyle Busch has become the first driver in NASCAR history to win all three national touring series events in the same week after claiming Saturday's Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Busch won the Truck race Wednesday night and the Nationwide race Friday night at the "World's Fastest Half Mile" before dominating the Sprint Cup race Saturday night. Busch led 284 laps of the 500-lap event, crossing the finish line 0.68 seconds ahead of David Reutimann to complete the triple sweep.
"It means a lot," said Busch. "I can't thank these guys enough, I can't thank Joe and J. D. (Gibbs) enough, to sweep a weekend is awesome." Team owner Joe Gibbs was elated with the accomplishment. "The Lord blessed us with a good experience tonight," said Joe Gibbs. "It was a thrill." Saturday night's Sprint Cup victory is the third of the 2010 season for Busch in the No. 18 JGR Toyota. Jamie McMurray finished third in the Irwin Tools Night Race, followed by Cint Bowyer and Kasey Kahne. MORE NASCAR NEWS
