Hardcore race fans can enjoy a full slate of NASCAR racing this Labor Day weekend with all three touring series scheduled to race. The Camping World Truck Series visits Kentucky Speedway Friday night while the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series invade Atlanta Motor Speedway for events Saturday and Sunday nights.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers get on the track Thursday at 4:00 p.m. for their first practice with Happy Hour going green at 6:00 p.m. Truck Series qualifying begins Friday afternoon at 4:05 p.m., the Built Ford Tough 225 starts at 8 p.m. SPEED will broadcast qualifying and the race live from the Kentucky Speedway. The first Nationwide practice at Atlanta gets underway at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning with final practice set for 9:30 a.m. Qualifying for Nationwide teams begins at 2:40 p.m. and the Atlanta 300 rolls off at 7:00 p.m. Catch Nationwide qualifying on SPEED at 2:30 p.m., ESPN2 has the race on at 6:30 p.m. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series enjoy a two hour opening practice at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning before the afternoon Happy Hour session at 1:45 p.m. Sprint Cup qualifying is at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, the Emory Healthcare 500 will be contested Sunday at 7:30 p.m. SPEED will carry both practice sessions and qualifying, ESPN airs the race at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
