The 2-mile D-shaped Auto Club Speedway in California hosts NASCAR’s top two divisions this weekend, the Nationwide Series running a 300-miler on Saturday and Sprint Cup competitors going at it for 400 miles in Round IV of the Chase on Sunday.
Nationwide drivers take to the track Friday morning at 11:00 am local time to kickoff on track activities in Fontana. Hardcore race fans can watch opening practice as well as Nationwide Happy Hour, which begins at 1:40 pm, live on SPEED. The first of three scheduled Sprint Cup Series practice sessions begins at noon Friday with Cup qualifying set for 3:40 pm, catch both on ESPN2 in real time. A full day of action is on tap Saturday starting with Nationwide Series qualifying at 8:30 am followed by the second Sprint Cup practice at 10:30 am, Sprint Cup Happy Hour at 11:50 am and the Nationwide race at 1:30 pm. Tune to SPEED for Nationwide qualifying and ESPN2 for the race. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pepsi 400 will be televised live beginning at 12:00 noon Sunday. All times are PT.
