When newspaper editor Horace Greeley said “go West young man,” he wasn’t thinking about the Auto Club Speedway. However, the two-mile track in Fontana, California does have plenty of wide open spaces. The ability to drive on many different parts of the track will make for some very interesting racing this weekend.

The track is very fast and very spread out, allowing those up front to jump to a big lead in a hurry. Because the track places such a premium on horsepower, the fastest cars will cut through traffic with ease. Long green flag runs will mean at the end of the race, those teams that have been wise with their fuel mileage could have an advantage.

There are a number of events off the track as well, so look for many activities for young and old alike.

This week’s video preview features comments from Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick, Jimmy Johnson, and Kyle Bush.
