Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart announced Tuesday that Mobil 1 will become a sponsor of the Stewart-Haas Racing team beginning in 2011.
Along with Office Depot, Mobil 1 will be a co-primary sponsor of the No. 14 Chevrolet, appearing on the hood for 11 races and as an associate for the remaining 25 events. Mobil 1 will also be an associate on the No. 39 driven by Ryan Newman.
"As a team owner, I'm absolutely thrilled to add such a respected technology partner to our race team," said Tony Stewart. "And as a driver, it's exciting to partner with a brand that has such an incredible racing pedigree. ExxonMobil is committed to producing the highest-quality racing motor oil and shares the same winning attitude that champions must have to succeed at this level." Mobil 1 has sponsored a long list of NASCAR drivers and teams over the years and is currently on the No. 77 Penske Racing Dodge. MORE NASCAR NEWS
