NASCAR makes it's annual fall stop in Charlotte this weekend for race number five of the 2010 Chase for Sprint Cup.
Nationwide drivers ran their first two rounds of practice on Wednesday as they prepare for the COT race Friday night. Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick led Wedesday's sessions with Logano returning to the top of the speed chart in Thursday's opening practice. Sprint Cup Series drivers take to the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway at 3:30 pm Thursday afternoon before qualifying at 7:10 pm. Nationwide Happy Hour is sandwiched in the activities, scheduled for 6:15 pm. Friday's lineup includes Nationwide qualifying at 3:05 pm and Sprint Cup practices at 5:00 pm and 6:20 pm. The Dollar General 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race begins at 8:00 pm. Stayed tuned to ESPN2 for television coverage of events Thursday and Friday from the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
