Jamie McMurray passed Kyle Busch on a restart with 21 laps remaining to pick up the win in Saturday night's Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. McMurray is enjoying a great season, also winning the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400 earlier this year.
Busch led 165 of the 334-lap event and looked to be on his way to an easy win until the final caution waved, erasing his lead.
"We had a better car than Kyle at the end," said McMurray. "He was better at certain stages during the race but at the end of the race, we had the best car." Jimmie Johnson finshed third, followed by Denny Hamlin and Greg Biffle. Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, David Reutimann and David Ragan completed the top 10. Johnson maintains a 41-point lead over Denny Hamlin in the Chase as the series heads to Martinsville next weekend. MORE NASCAR NEWS
