For many NASCAR drivers, Talladega has always been sort of spooky. This weekend’s race is no exception. With the points battle the tightest it’s been since the creation of the play-off style format, counting points won’t really matter until the final lap at this superspeedway.

Among the possibilites at Talladega range from a blown engine to a miscalcualtion on pit road or in the draft that drops a car from first to 31st in one lap. By the way, did we mention the Big One. It’s possible none, or all, of the above could happen to the Chase contenders at some point in the race. The championship will probably be determined by how they react to that uncertain turn of events.

The week’s video preview includes analysis from Jeff Burton, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmy Johnson, and Matt Kenseth.
