A. J. Allmendinger, who won his first career pole at Phoenix earlier this year, starts second in the Richard Petty Motorsports No. 43, followed by Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle and Jamie McMurray. Starting sixth through tenth are David Reutimann, Kyle Busch, Regan Smith, Aric Almirola and Joey Logano. Michael McDowell, Joe Nemechek and Jason Leffler did not qualify.
