The 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Banquet offers a stellar lineup of entertainment for the postseason celebration being held Friday night at the Wynn Las Vegas.
Among the entertainers scheduled to perform are country music group Rascal Flatts, country music artist Martina McBride, singer-songwriter Colbie Caillatand and comedian Frank Caliendo will host the three-hour show that can be seen live on SPEED at 9 pm ET. Attendees and viewers will also be treated to a shortened version of the popular Elvis tribute Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil. Thursday's activities include the annual NMPA Myers Brothers luncheon, during which a number of awards such as Most Popular Driver and Rookie of the Year will be presented, as well as a Victory Lap with all 12 Chase drivers making a run down the famous Vegas Strip. The fourth annual Stewie Awards are set for Thursday evening. Five-time champion Jimmie Johnson and the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports team will be honored at Friday night's gala with NASCAR handing out several million dollars and putting the final touches on a season that began last February in Daytona. SPEED will re-air the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Banquet Saturday, December 4 at 1:00 am ET and again on Sunday, December 5 at 1:00 pm ET. SPEED will also have coverage of the NASCAR Camping World and Nationwide Series banquets Friday night at 7:00 pm ET. MORE NASCAR NEWS
