NASCAR team owner Michael Waltrip is known for his quick wit and humor during race broadcasts. Always a favorite of hardcore race fans around the world Waltrip has decided to go to the next level, taking Michael Waltrip's Comedy Garage on tour later this month.
Waltrip performs a stand-up comedy routine during the show which features comedians Henry Cho and John Reep as headliners. "This is something totally different from what I am used to," said Waltrip. "In a race car I am in my element and I'm comfortable. When you give me a microphone and tell me I have to stand up in front of a lot of people and be funny on purpose, that makes me nervous. I'm funny accidentally. The definition of stand-up comedy is being funny on purpose." Michael Waltrip's Comedy Garage will appear at the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City on January 21, the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Ontario, Canada January 22 and the Mirage in Las Vegas on March 4 and 5.
