Carl Edwards, known for his backflip after winning NASCAR races, is looking forward to returning to Las Vegas Motor Speedway where he is familiar with Victory Lane. Edwards plans to arrive in Las Vegas early to enjoy some skydiving like activities before competing in the Kobalt Tools 400 on Sunday, March 6, 2011.
Edwards will be jumping off of the Stratosphere Hotel on Thursday. The Stratosphere Hotel is the tallest structure on the Las Vegas Strip. The jump, which is 855 feet up in the air, can be best described as a "controlled freefall", according to Sky Jump Las Vegas.
The Stratosphere Hotel is the sponsor of NASCAR Pole Day on March 4, 2011.
