NASCAR Hands Gordon Season Long Probation

Robby-GordonNASCAR has placed Robby Gordon on probation until December 31, 2011 for his involvement in an altercation with Kevin Conway last Friday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, according to a press release issued Tuesday afternoon by the sanctioning body.

 

The release stated Gordon's probation is a result of violating Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing; involved in an altercation in the garage area with another competitor) of the 2011 NASCAR rule book.

 

Gordon received an indefinite probation in an emergencey action by NASCAR Saturday in Las Vegas.

 

While Conway reported the incident to police local authorities have not filed any charges in the case.
