NASCAR Schedule For Bristol Weekend

bristol-motor-speedwayTime for some short track racing this weekend, Bristol style! The NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series head to the “World’s Fastest Half Mile” with everything kicking off on Friday in Thunder Valley.

 

 

The first of four Nationwide Series practices begins Friday at 8:30 a.m., the second session starting at 10:30 a.m. Sprint Cup drivers take to the track at noon for their first practice followed by the third Nationwide practice of the day at 1:30 p.m. Qualifying for the Food City 500 gets underway at 3:30 p.m. and the day ends with final Nationwide practice at 5 p.m. SPEED begins live coverage from Bristol at noon.

 

 Saturday in Bristol is a little busier as the weekend rolls on. Nationwide qualifying begins at 9:40 a.m. followed by Sprint Cup practices at 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. which can see be seen on SPEED.  The Scotts Turf Builder 300 starts at 2 p.m. with driver intros at 1:30 p.m. Tune to ESPN for the race.

 

 Driver introductions for race number four on the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday with the Food City 500 going green at 1:13 p.m. FOX will broadcast Sunday’s race live from Bristol Motor Speedway. All times are eastern.
